The space

The cottage has been recently refurbished and combines a traditional cottage feel with a contemporary style twist.

There are 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom which accommodates 5 people. The beds in the two double bedrooms can be configured to sleep a couple and two children or two couples. A travel cot can be provided. The place is excellently equipped including TV, Wi-Fi, Bose Sound System, Log Burner and Heating System.

The kitchen contains the highest quality appliances including, an oven, gas hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, wine fridge, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

There are bi-fold doors which open out onto a slate terrace which overlooks a lawn. The BBQ area to the side of the house is in an outdoor kitchen fashion with slate worktops.

Guest access

Guests have full use of the cottage and garden. Surfboards and bodyboards are available upon request.

Please note that the agreed booking is based on the number of guests who stay and an additional charge will be applied if you would like to alter the booking and increase the numbers.

What an amazing place to stay, perfectly positioned between our two favourite surf beaches. The house was incredible with complementary snacks, fantastic HiFi and amazing to watch the rugby by the fire with the occasional visit from a peacock. Friendly and easy communication, can’t wait to come again.

We have just returned from a fantastic few days at Joe's place in Bude. Rickstone Cottage is a truly stunning property and Joe and his mum Shirley were lovely hosts. Great location as we are walking the South West Coast Path which is just at the end of the road and meant we could walk to and from the property. Tired at the end of our first day, the cottage was so warm and welcoming as was Shirley who popped out to meet us and show us around. The cottage is just stunning with such fine attention to detail in every room. It was a shame we did not get a chance to sit and chill in the garden, especially…

The hosts were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the cream tea.

Great location for coastal walks and not far from two beaches.

I had a wonderful stay at Joe”s Cottage with my family of four, including a toddler. Everything was impeccably clean, and the cottage's location was perfect for exploring the area. Joe and Shirley were fantastic hosts, providing excellent communication and making sure our stay was comfortable. What really stood out was their thoughtfulness in providing a high chair for our toddler, which was incredibly helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend their cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway

We really enjoyed staying at Joe’s place during our weekend in cornwall. The house was very clean with modern touches throughout. The beach and walking trail along the coast was to die for. Joe and his mother Shirely was also extremely helpful and catered to all our needs. Would definitely visit again in the near future.

An excellent property in a great part of the world. We loved spending time in the house and garden reading and relaxing, as well as heading to the beach at Bude, Crooklets and Polzeath to spend time body boarding and swimming. We'd stay here again!
